Job Responsibility

  • Lead a team of Integration specialists who are responsible for the design of the Bombardier product portfolio
  • Work collaboratively with platforms internal and external suppliers and with each platform leader, to align on priorities and decisions
  • Manage the Engineering Statement of Work
  • Manage the engineering budget and spend for the department
  • Participate in management meetings and organize departmental governance
  • Communicate effectively and support decisions and messages to and from management
  • Ensure that the management system is in place to organize and control the tasks and the priorities, with appropriate levels of visibility to issues and risks and associated mitigation plan
  • Support employees to enable them to reach their goals and deliverables by providing coaching, mentoring and training both for technical and soft skills
  • Responsible for deployment of Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices
  • Some level of support/coordination for Production and In-Service resolution of issues

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. Aerospace specialty is an asset
  • You have a minimum of 20 years of experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the Aerospace industry with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience
  • You have knowledge of design tools
  • You have knowledge of MRB
  • You have experience in multi-disciplinary designs
  • You have knowledge of manufacturing methods
  • You have strong people management and leadership qualities with an ability to mobilize and foster an environment of teamwork within cross-functional teams facilitating discussions and resolving issues to meet the business objectives
  • You have demonstrated leadership behaviors that support putting people first, work in teams, value teamwork, and drive for performance excellence while exhibiting a winning attitude
  • You are pro-active, results orientated and innovative with a view for business improvement
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus without formal authority
  • You must be fluent in English and French
