Job Description

This role reports organizationally to the Director, Strategy, Performance & Digital AI and functionally to the Executive Vice President (EVP), Programs, Engineering Support and Supply Chain. You will get the chance to manage the team’s governance, support the annual strategic planning exercise and contribute to many strategic projects. You will have the opportunity to build an internal network of collaborators and strengthen strategic partnerships and therefore increase your knowledge and understanding of the different parts of the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the Digital Innovation Office, overseeing digital initiative requests, building business cases and leading implementation with a cross-functional team
  • Determining, planning, coordinating, and supporting key governance activities at the EVP level
  • Supporting the overall strategic plan, including cross-functional coordination to meet strategic goals and objectives
  • Supporting special projects and business opportunities to help grow the different areas of the business
  • Support with prioritizing major deliverables and projects of the team, along with driving timelines in order to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations
  • Be responsible to bridge and align organizational priorities and change management across functions (Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering Support, Programs, Innovation)
  • Partner with Human Resources and Finance to ensure fluidity of organizational requirements for the EVP
  • Act as a representative of the EVP in larger cross-functional settings to align priorities and provide subject matter expertise in the areas the team is responsible for
  • Support the creation, monitoring and governance surrounding key strategies and initiatives by directly working with key stakeholders, aligning with top management
  • Actively contribute to Bombardier’s Digital/AI community by creating synergies across teams and implementing best practices
  • Maintain an inclusive and nurturing work environment that drives employee motivation and engagement

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • University degree preferably in Business or an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering
  • MBA or other a professional designation (an asset)
  • Previous experience in a management role (an asset)
  • Creative, problem-solving capabilities and an ability to think strategically
  • Comfortable interacting/presenting to all levels of management, including senior leadership
  • Customer focused and thrive on teamwork and collaboration
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong business acumen and awareness of general market trends
  • Comfortable with general financial concepts (e.g. cashflow analysis, P&L, net present value, etc.)
  • Experience in digital or AI development in a business environment
  • Previous experience with governance processes, strategic planning and managing projects
  • Results oriented and have previously demonstrated both flexibility and creativity in your working style
  • Very strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent listener and have an ability to impact and influence those around you
