As a Manager of Solutions Engineering at Vanta, you will lead and scale a high-performing team that partners with Sales & Account Management to win in our Upmarket segment. You'll play a critical role in shaping the technical sales motion for some of Vanta’s most strategic opportunities. The Solutions Engineering team’s mission is to drive technical sales excellence and ensure our most sophisticated customers see the value of Vanta’s Trust Management Platform. This team supports complex sales cycles, helps unlock new markets, and accelerates expansion into regulated industries. As a Manager, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to build scalable sales processes, improve technical qualification and discovery, and deliver a world-class experience for prospective and existing customers alike.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and coach a growing team of Solutions Engineers focused on Upmarket renewals and expansion
  • Partner with Sales to navigate complex sales cycles, improving technical discovery, qualification, demo effectiveness, and validation motions like proof of concept
  • Build repeatable, scalable pre-sales processes to support achievement of the technical win in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to shape positioning and roadmap based on customer feedback
  • Leverage KPIs and use data to continuously improve technical win rates and SE field success
  • Strengthen AE/AM/CSM<>SE collaboration across both new logo and expansion deals
  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Product Marketing, Solutions Architecture, and Events to scale SE impact across the business

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS in a Senior Solutions SE role
  • 2+ years managing and mentoring tenured solutions engineers
  • Proven success supporting high-complexity, regulated, or security-focused sales motions
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage confidently with CISOs, CTOs, and technical stakeholders
  • Experience scaling SE functions in fast-growth environments and building effective AE<>SE partnerships
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
