Job Description

At Mastercard, we don’t just process payments—we power economies. As a global technology company in the payments space, we are driven by innovation and a commitment to doing well by doing good. The Customer Solutions Center is Mastercard’s local hub for designing and delivering solutions that address complex customer and market needs. We partner with country managers, sales teams and product teams to craft compelling propositions that leverage Mastercard’s global capabilities. As Manager, Solution Strategy, you will operate at the intersection of product organization, country strategy, and customer engagement – balancing priorities across these dimensions to deliver impact. This is a high-exposure role, working closely with Country Managers, Account Managers, Customers and Product Owners to shape Mastercard’s future from both a customer and product lens. You will help financial institutions in Norway navigate the evolving payments landscape – bringing strategic thinking and execution excellence to every engagement. This role requires someone who is genuinely passionate about technical innovation and the payments industry, and who can move fluently between strategic discussions and diving into details when needed to drive progress.

Job Responsibility

  • Shape customer driven solutions: Translate customer needs into integrated propositions using Mastercard’s products and services
  • Balance priorities: Align country-specific priorities with global product capabilities to deliver solutions that work locally and scale globally
  • Lead value proposition development: Craft compelling customer driven narratives for RFPs and strategic initiatives
  • Drive innovation: Identify market trends and opportunities across the payments value chain and proactively influence solutioning
  • Enable execution: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and smooth implementation
  • Influence stakeholders: Prepare decision-ready materials for senior leaders and build alignment across functions

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in management consulting or strategic roles in financial services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simplify complexity
  • Skilled in storytelling and executive communication
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to influence without authority
  • Genuine interest in technical innovation and payments
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between strategic thinking and detailed execution
  • Fluent in English & Norwegian is a must.
