Currently, our team is seeking a Manager – Software Technology Vendor Management that will work with Technology Engineering organizations, ensuring efficient coordination of software acquisition, utilization, and license management activities. As an individual contributor, this Manager will collaborate with sourcing, finance, asset management and contracts teams to successfully complete the acquisitions. The goal of this team is to strive to procure, replace, upgrade, evaluate and maintain software assets to meet capacity demand and technology requirements. We proactively support IT roadmap and long-term vision with a focus on effectively managing Contracts, Products, Vendors, T&Cs, compliance, assets utilization, optimize costs, and risks.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into licenses acquisition requirements and coordinate efforts with procurement and contract team, while ensuring software quality, SLA, cost effectiveness, privacy, and compliance
  • Be innovative and devise negotiation strategy and license matrix that is beneficial to the company and in line with IT's long-term vision of product and technology roadmap
  • Collaborate with product subject matter experts, procurement sourcing and contracts team, finance, asset management and renewal teams to achieve successful execution and effective maintenance of software contracts, performance, and deliverables
  • Assist engineering teams in navigating technology and contract-related matters, provide support and guidance to ensure effective utilization of technology and adherence to contract terms
  • Provide guidance and support to leadership, stakeholders, procurement, and contracts teams on software evaluation, acquisitions, and maintenance of contractual terms
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Proactively negotiate favorable business terms and cost of third-party software
  • Optimize the utilization of products and assets through effective management
  • Offer expertise and insights to assist in making informed decisions on contracts
  • Cultivate and manage vendor relationships effectively
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the IT industry landscape and technological developments

Requirements

  • 5+ years working within Information Technology or Software Engineering, with a preferred focus on infrastructure engineering, application development, data engineering or large-scale systems
  • 3+ years hands on experience working on Datacenter, Infrastructure, Network and Cloud servers
  • 2+ years of experience with third-party technologies and vendor support management
  • 2+ years solving complex business or technical problems and proposing solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

  • IT Contracts Management Skills: Excellent contracts management skills, with expertise in managing contractual terms, cost, compliance, and utilization of licenses
  • Business Skills: Ability to understand technical requirements and well experience in translating technical requirement into business discussions with non-technical teams
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to influence leadership, vendors, technical teams, and drive successful outcomes in a collaborative environment, with a focus on managing contracts with excellence
