The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Manager, Social Media in Brazil to lead the editorial strategy for social media. In this role, you’ll serve as a key voice on social platforms, focusing on real-time fan engagement and community-building efforts across our portfolio of entertainment brands. You will collaborate closely with Marketing and Business teams, Creative, PR & communications, Franchise, and customer experience to enhance visibility, social relevance, engagement and conversation. Build relationships with fandoms and communities, fostering their growth and creating opportunities for them to connect with the brand.
Job Responsibility
Develop the brand's social strategy, understanding the tone of voice and platform positioning
Make proposals that ensure an integrated and consistent line of communication between all business lines
Monitor trends, cultural conversation, and audience behavior to identify opportunities and make proposals for the development of always-on campaign and social-first content across platforms
Manage account planning through a data-driven approach
Define the reporting framework to support strategy
Monitor KPIs such as engagement rate, follower sentiment, share of voice, and community growth, delivering actionable insights and recommendations
Translate trends and insights into impactful campaigns and always-on content
Oversee promoted content and initiatives that reinforce brand values, elevate storytelling, and build emotional connections with fans
Collaborate closely with content, creative, and franchise teams to support major launches and cultural moments
Manage real-time engagement across key platforms (TikTok, Meta platforms, X, YouTube), actively monitoring conversations around Disney brands, titles, franchises, and characters to foster an active and positive community presence
Support influencer activations and event coverage to sustain a vibrant, fan-first brand identity
Identify creator partnerships and tap into cultural moments to maximize reach and relevance
Stay informed on platform updates, internet culture, and entertainment trends to ensure Disney’s leadership in digital storytelling
Partner with a wide-range of internal teams (from Marketing to Tech) to identify and prioritize needs in line with company main goals
Requirements
+6 years of experience managing social media engagement for an entertainment, content media brand
+4 years of experience leading large teams with proven skills in people management
Fluency in English (Spanish recommended)
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Social Media Marketing, or related fields
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously
Deep understanding of social platforms (especially Meta platforms, YouTube, and TikTok), user behaviors and expectations, as well as relevant influencers and creators
Experience with community management, fostering active engagement and meaningful conversations across platforms
A keen intuition for social trends, leveraging these insights to create impactful content that sparks conversations with our audience
Deep knowledge of Brazilian digital market
Passion for storytelling & editorial focus
Demonstrated experience using social media engagement and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
Strong understanding of how to build safe, inclusive, and respectful digital communities
Oversee external agency relationships and partnerships
