Job Description

We’re hiring a Manager (or Senior Manager) of Business Recruiting to lead and evolve how we hire across GTM and G&A functions at Intercom. This role is for a recruiting leader who thinks like a business partner, someone who understands how hiring fuels revenue, scale, and operational excellence, and can translate business strategy into a clear, executable talent plan. You’ll own recruiting strategy and delivery for critical GTM and G&A teams, while also driving cross-functional and global initiatives that improve hiring quality, speed, and consistency as Intercom continues to scale. This is a high-impact role with real visibility and influence across senior leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Solutions, Revenue Ops, Finance, Legal, and People to define hiring priorities and headcount strategy
  • Translate business goals (growth targets, capacity models, operating plans) into clear recruiting strategies and quarterly hiring plans
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent market dynamics, role design, leveling, and trade-offs between speed, quality, and location
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Business Recruiters, setting a high bar for execution, candidate experience, and stakeholder partnership
  • Own pipeline health and hiring performance across key business teams, using data to diagnose risks and unblock progress
  • Use metrics (time to hire, funnel conversion, source mix, quality signals, candidate experience) to inform decisions and influence leaders
  • Build simple, repeatable reporting that gives leaders clear visibility into hiring health and trade-offs
  • Lead and contribute to initiatives that scale Business Recruiting globally (e.g., interviewer capacity, values interview pooling, process consistency, tooling and AI adoption)
  • Partner with RecOps, People Ops, and Finance to ensure hiring plans are executable and sustainable
  • Continuously evolve our recruiting model to support growth across regions and functions

Requirements

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, with people leadership in a fast-growing tech company
  • Deep experience hiring for GTM and/or G&A roles, with a strong understanding of commercial and operational talent needs
  • Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders as a strategic advisor, not just a delivery lead
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset, comfortable using data to make decisions and tell a compelling story
  • Experience operating across multiple functions and regions
  • High standards, strong judgment, and the ability to operate with urgency in competitive markets
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Regular compensation reviews - great work is rewarded!
  • Flexible paid time off policy
  • Paid Parental Leave Program
  • 401k plan & match
  • In-office bicycle storage
  • Fun events for Intercomrades, friends, and family!
