We are seeking an experienced data science professional to play a pivotal role within the Big Data & AI community at VOIS. This role focuses on using advanced analytics and machine learning to generate actionable insights, improve decision-making, and enable innovation across Vodafone. The individual will work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets, partner closely with business and technology teams, and help industrialise predictive and prescriptive solutions that address real-world business challenges.
Job Responsibility
Analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data to test hypotheses, uncover patterns, and deliver actionable business insights
Design, develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models that support predictive and prescriptive decision-making
Build and maintain data visualisation dashboards to communicate insights clearly to a wide range of stakeholders
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable analytical solutions
Contribute to and help shape the global analytics community, ensuring continuous improvement and adoption of leading-edge analytical techniques
Requirements
At least six years of hands-on experience developing analytical models using large-scale datasets in a commercial, consumer, or digital environment
Proficient in Python and PySpark, with end-to-end experience from problem definition through to production deployment
Strong grounding in statistical learning and machine learning techniques, including regression, tree-based models, clustering, NLP, deep learning, and reinforcement learning
Experienced with modern machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, MLlib, TensorFlow, PyTorch, H2O, and R
Knowledgeable in data warehousing and big data technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, Spark, and related ecosystems
Familiar with experimentation, A/B testing, and developing analytical reports and insights
Nice to have
Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Shiny, Dash, D3, Tableau, or Power BI is valued
Experience with cloud platforms (ideally Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies is desirable
