Arrowhead is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Analyst or Contracts Manager to join its legal team in Pasadena, CA. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, the Senior Contracts Analyst/Contracts Manager will evaluate, draft and negotiate company contracts on behalf of Arrowhead.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, negotiate and review appropriate contract documents to ensure their reasonableness and accuracy, and to ensure they include sufficient timeframes and deliverables
identify and resolve clauses adverse to Arrowhead’s interests
Assist in the management of Arrowhead’s contracting system, including ensuring that contract requests and assignments are properly entered and tracked in the system
Negotiate contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within established corporate parameters
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts
Write and/or edit contract communications and notices
Assist with other general legal matters, as appropriate
Be able to integrate and balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities
Address business partner needs by involving the right people at the right time, understanding their ultimate objectives, being responsive and developing creative solutions
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years (for Senior Contract Analyst) or 5 years (for Contracts Manager) prior experience negotiating a large volume of contracts
Possesses superior negotiation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for details and nuances
Strong analytical ability, critical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to apply information to other related or similar situations, and project management skills to ensure appropriate execution of corporate goals
Experience coordinating with internal clients to understand and help them meet their needs
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in a business or biotechnology-related field or equivalent relevant experience
Pharmaceutical or biotech experience
Experience with clinical trial agreements
Experience with the Agiloft contract management system
