Job Description:

HSBC is seeking a professional to join its team as a Manager, Revenue Development. Responsibilities include supporting new revenue initiatives for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), improving customer satisfaction, and designing solutions with customer desirability and business viability in mind. Applicants should have experience in global CIB markets, expertise in experience design, and knowledge of regulatory, technological, and market trends.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the development and launch of initiatives to generate new revenue streams for CIB which show a path to min $100m revenue and demonstrate value in 18-24 months, with a clear client path to commercialisation across new markets and/or client sets, and to accelerate go-to-market
  • contribute to and facilitate the experience design process, from customer discovery research and problem statement development to solution prototyping and usability testing, achieving a sweet spot among business viability, customer desirability, and technical feasibility
  • continuously and actively improve customer experience and satisfaction through innovative and evidence-based solutions
  • leverage new growth opportunities to optimise existing revenue streams (collaborating with Strategy and Products)
  • work collaboratively across the SRD (Strategic Revenue Development) Team to extract strategy synergies that drive results
  • ensure the fair treatment of our clients and maintaining a growth mindset culture is at the heart of what we do
  • strong problem-solving, communications, negotiations, team building, project management and planning skills
  • outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills, and build rapport across the SRD team

Requirements:

  • A customer-centric mindset and an entrepreneurial profile capable of stimulating innovation and growth through a considered and methodical approach to evaluate opportunities that have franchise and financial materiality for CIB and the group
  • solid experience in experience design and strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects
  • stylistically the candidate will have fair intellectual consideration delivered with positive-thinking, high energy and intensity
  • the candidate will be naturally inclusive and an instinctive collaborator who gets things done across the enterprise, and outside, and is able to drive action
  • strong understanding of the Bank’s businesses, competitive environment in different geographic locations and primary drivers of business value based on customer opportunities
  • strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, social and cultural, market trends and competitor practices
  • knowledge of major industry trends in Transparent & Embedded Finance, Alternative Business Models, Ecosystems & Partnerships and Emerging Technology
