Manager - Respiratory Services

• Assisting the Director with the daily administration of the Respiratory Department functions
• Functions include but are not limited to budget, performance appraisals, design, implementation of special projects, and competency of staff
• Direct supervision of all supervisors
• Develop new and improved programs for education and clinical application in regard to current standards of care and practice, changing technology, and identified quality improvement opportunities
• Coordinating the orientation for all new employees within defined practice area(s)
• Ensuring the validation of competency of staff upon employment and ongoing with accurate record keeping within the assigned area(s)
• Maintenance of clinical proficiency
• Direct and/or indirect patient care may be included in this role, as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or other Allied Health Degree is required
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience required
• Minimum 2 years management experience required
• Practice certification in specialty area preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
• Active ASBRT RRT required
• Active NBRC RRT required
• BLS required
• Additional certification may be required (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) depending upon area assigned
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints
• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment

Practice certification in specialty area preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
