Job Description

Manager, Product Management - Product Manager, Enterprise Developer Platforms. Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry. As Product Manager on the Developer Experience team, you will own the product strategy and technical roadmap for Hygieia, a mission-critical distributed system that serves as the backbone of our CI/CD data ecosystem. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond maintenance; you will lead the strategic modernization of this platform, driving the transition toward a next-generation ecosystem capable of processing millions of daily requests with increased scalability and lower latency. You will drive significant improvement in the developer pipeline while ensuring a robust security posture. We are looking for a highly technical candidate with transformational leadership and influence to champion this best-in-class CI/CD data collection platform.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and execute the technical roadmap for Hygieia, managing a complex architecture of microservices, batch collectors, and real-time APIs
  • Drive the initiative to complete the migration to a new tech stack
  • Act as the primary bridge between raw pipeline data and automated governance
  • Ensure data collection remains the source of truth for every software release, focusing specifically on data collections for the CI/CD pipeline
  • Maintain a robust security posture by regularly meeting with Risk and CIC Associates
  • Coordinate with external teams still within Capital One to keep the posture strong
  • Work directly with the dedicated engineering team responsible for data collections
  • Focus on building user acceptance, understanding the user journey, and defining how the platform affects the end-user experience
  • Leverage expertise in Platform Product Management, JIRA, APIs, and modernization efforts to drive the platform's strategic vision and execution

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
  • At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position

Nice to have

  • 3+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 3+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences

What we offer

  • Eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI)
  • Comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits
