Job Description:

The Merchant Cloud UX team is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and passionate Senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of merchant experiences as part of Mastercard’s modernization strategy. This role will work at the intersection of complex platform design and multi stream delivery, driving a significantly improved, seamless, and elevated user experience across our Merchant Cloud ecosystem. This is a key role contributing to the overall modernization of merchant payment experiences, ensuring consistency, usability, and long term customer value.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead end to end design delivery
  • Own feature and experience design from discovery through delivery, producing wireframes, journey maps, information architecture, prototypes, and high fidelity designs
  • Work across multiple product streams simultaneously, ensuring cohesive and consistent experiences
  • Elevate the user experience
  • Translate complex payment and platform concepts into intuitive workflows and interfaces
  • Influence the strategy by bringing customer centricity to the forefront, reinforcing the end user experience with stakeholders and championing a best in-class product and platform
  • Collaborate across disciplines
  • Lead, influence and work in cross functional agile teams, in design critiques, workshops, research reviews, and cross team collaborations
  • Contribute to design systems & standards
  • Apply and extend our design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability
  • Contribute patterns, documentation, and interface standards that support Merchant Cloud and Gateway modernization

Requirements:

  • UX/Product Design experience, ideally within enterprise, platform, or multi workflow environments
  • Strong experience creating detailed prototypes, flows, and interaction patterns for web applications and enterprise tools
  • Proven success working in agile, cross functional teams, ability to quickly understand technical domains and able to clearly articulate design intent and trade-offs
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

Nice to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to run research, lead design for complex product areas, and deliver high quality UX/UI outputs
  • Craft compelling narratives that resonate with leadership, internal teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring complex ideas are translated into simple, memorable, and visually engaging formats
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe creative Cloud
  • Experience using collaboration/productivity tools such as Confluence, Jira
  • Strong experience leading design thinking and customer discovery workshops
