Job Description

The organization is seeking a highly motivated Manager of People Operations to support Human Capital operations and serve as a key point of contact for a growing regional office. This role will focus on benefits administration, HR systems ownership and optimization, payroll coordination, leave management, immigration support, and broader People Operations initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead day-to-day People Operations execution with primary ownership of health and welfare benefits administration, including retirement plans, vendor management, benchmarking, renewal coordination, and serving as a primary employee resource for benefits-related matters
  • Oversee the HRIS platform, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, workflow optimization, and overall system effectiveness while supporting future system enhancements and scalability
  • Partner with Finance to support payroll coordination and act as a resource for employee payroll-related inquiries
  • Manage leave programs (including federal, state-specific, and disability leaves) to ensure compliance and proper administration
  • Coordinate immigration processes for applicable employees in partnership with external resources
  • Drive process improvements, reporting, and analytics to support leadership decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted local point of contact for employees while helping build scalable People Operations infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • strong academic and professional track record preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Capital or People Operations with demonstrated expertise in benefits administration and HRIS ownership/administration (data integrity, reporting, workflows, vendor management, and process improvement)
  • Experience supporting HR systems implementations, migrations, or evaluations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and working knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA and related programs
  • Experience partnering with Finance on payroll processes with a strong operational understanding of payroll controls
  • Exposure to employment-based immigration coordination is a plus
  • Advanced analytical skills and Excel proficiency with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement
