Make Your Mark: The Manager, People Success is responsible for leading and managing key transactional and compliance processes executed across the employee life cycle as well as enhancing the employee experience at Blackline. The leader in this role will define a vision for the People Success Center, build core business processes and procedures, and partner with other leaders to leverage HR systems in support of the employee life cycle. Overseeing a team of Shared Service Coordinators who provide customer service to employees addressing their people related inquiries, this leader will create standard procedures and manage to key SLAs. Additionally, the People Success team will be responsible for the integrity of people's data in Blackline's HRIS system. The successful candidate is a subject matter expert in people business processes, regulatory requirements, and driving process efficiency and effectiveness. The role is best suited for someone with a strong data, process, analysis and people operations background, and a desire and passion for building capability in an organization, scaling it for the future. The incumbent in this position must have the ability to work seamlessly and in collaboration with various groups in the business, including People Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HR Technology), IT, and Payroll.

Job Responsibility

  • Develops and manages to a vision, strategy, and documentation of the end-to-end employee life cycle processes for People Success Center
  • Partners successfully with cross-functional team members inclusive of talent from COEs, IT and Payroll to deliver an exceptional experience across the employee life cycle
  • Leads and directs the work of Blackline's People Success team supporting core HR administration, compliance, reporting, auditing, and other related practices
  • Supports the optimization of Blackline's HRIS system by creating opportunities for automation and simplification of processes
  • Ensures effective communication and documentation of all process changes
  • Responsible for resolving a diverse scope of issues that may require deep analysis and an understanding of current business trends and in-depth knowledge of HR polices and regulations
  • Manages the rollout of new functionality and business process improvements to elevate the team's ability to service the organization and enhance to employee experience
  • Builds and manages a high performing team that delivers superior customer service to employees and People Business Partners by providing timely and accurate responses to all inquiries and meeting SLAs
  • Ensures high standard of data accuracy and compliance
  • Creates content, documents processes, and shares information to enhance the employee and manager knowledge base through partnership with subject matter experts across the people team
  • Leads special projects from time to time
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field is preferred, PMP or Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • 5-7 years of progressive growth supporting HR Organizations, leading business process improvements projects, and developing a self-service culture
  • 3+ years leading HR transactional support teams
  • Experience collaborating with technical support teams such as HRIS and IT
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with execution of HR compliance programs
  • Experience using SaaS based HRIS systems required
  • Success Factors preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and drive high performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with data, metrics, and reporting
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience with system implementation
  • Experience in technology industry a plus
