Job Description:

Manager Operations role in Life Fund Accounting Team responsible for providing monthly reports and data extracts to Insurance clients, including ledger feeds, valuation extracts and supplementary analysis to enable clients to complete statutory accounts and regulatory disclosures.

Job Responsibility:

Provide monthly reports and data extracts to Insurance clients
Provide ledger feeds, valuation extracts and supplementary analysis
Oversee the entire monthly reporting process
Keep abreast with new pronouncements by various governing and accounting bodies
Contribute to meeting the cost targets
Manage the process to meet or exceed SLA/PLAs
Create, quality control and distribute monthly results for all clients
Update monthly fund benchmarks and keep abreast of market and index developments
Carry out post month end control checks
Review all investment accounting reports required by the client
Support the audit/review process
Maintain positive engagement within the team

Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance/Accounting
7-10 years of relevant trade processing, settlements, SSI Setup and SSI Confirmation
Understanding of Accounting & Valuation
Experience working on Aladdin platform
Knowledge on Trade platforms like Calypso/MARKIT/Geneva/Trade Flow /TLM /Multifonds
Understanding of investment accounting, investment valuations and funds
Knowledge in the use of Bloomberg and/or Reuters
Strong Accounting Concepts with a clear understanding of financial statements
Basic knowledge in custody, brokerage, depository, Clearing agent and reconciliations
Additional qualifications related to financial industry

Nice to have:

Understanding of Accounting & Valuation will be an advantage
Understanding of investment accounting, investment valuations and funds will be an advantage
Additional qualifications related to financial industry will be given preference
