As Manager Operations, you will be responsible for one of our major sugar manufacturing sites, with accountability for safety, production, and performance. This is a senior leadership role where you will guide operational outcomes and foster a positive, inclusive culture across the site. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to support plant performance, ensure safe and reliable operations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a visible and approachable leader, supporting capability development within your team while ensuring consistent operational delivery. Job Responsibility:
Oversee all site operations, including crushing, production, cogeneration, and quality outcomes
Support a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Develop and support a high-performing team, including succession planning and capability development
Enhance plant performance through effective shutdown planning, maintenance coordination, and improvement initiatives
Collaborate with Group leadership and stakeholders to deliver operational plans, budgets, and long-term asset outcomes
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience
Senior operational leadership experience within a heavy industrial or process environment
Experience within manufacturing operations, ideally within sugar or similar industries
Strong understanding of processing operations and plant performance
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices
Nice to have:
Postgraduate or formal leadership qualifications
Experience supporting cultural change and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
