Overview: Manager of the Operational Labs group. LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL. JOB STATUS: Full Time. Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Required. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of the Operational Labs group supporting the LASSO contract at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The Ops Labs Manager will oversee a diverse group of over several laboratories, including precision cleaning, calibration, non-destructive evaluation, chemical sampling and analysis, and additional staff.
Job Responsibility
Manage a network of supervisors and their teams, focusing on delivering LASSO’s technology development projects on time and within budget
Meet with customers regularly to provide status, anticipate, and deliver on their needs
Coordinate with other business entities like Finance, HR, and procurement to ensure your group work’s runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all laboratories
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
Monitor and evaluate the performance of laboratory teams, providing feedback and support for professional development
Requirements
10 years of related experience in a technical engineering or scientific field
5 years of experience in a lead or management position of a technical or scientific team
Experience with Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements
Nice to have
