Role Summary: As the Manager of Personnel & Scheduling, you will provide leadership and oversight to recruitment, staffing, scheduling, and personnel processes within the Edmonton region. You will play a key role in ensuring staffing stability, supporting employee performance, and maintaining compliance with employment standards and organizational policies. This position is well suited to a leader who enjoys balancing people management, operational coordination, and HR best practices. Candidates with a background in Human Resources — particularly in larger or multi-site organizations — will find this role especially rewarding. Job Responsibility
Lead recruitment, hiring, supervision, and evaluation of Personnel and ECAT Coordinators
Oversee staffing processes, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and staff development
Ensure all casual field employees are appropriately supervised and evaluated
Manage employee lifecycle processes including hiring, performance management, and terminations in accordance with agency policies and Employment Standards
Support employee orientation and training initiatives as required
Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs in collaboration with management teams
Oversee scheduling to ensure consistent and effective client service delivery
Monitor scheduling practices to ensure alignment with program budgets
Conduct internal investigations as required (e.g., incidents, near misses, allegations of abuse)
Maintain and update personnel-related operational manuals and procedures
Support risk management practices, including identifying, mitigating, and monitoring operational risks
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to timelines in line with agency policies
Utilize internal systems to track employee, client, and service delivery information
Collaborate across departments to address personnel and staffing-related issues

Requirements
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Community Rehabilitation, or a related field required
Experience in Human Resources and/or Community Rehabilitation
Strong preference for candidates with HR experience in a complex or multi-site organization
Supervisory or leadership experience
Knowledge of Employment Standards and applicable government regulations
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle complex and sensitive situations with professionalism
Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Clear Criminal Record Check and ability to be bondable
