As a Manager of new Business Unit, you will turn a small, promising revenue stream (today: a few thousand euros/month) into a multi-million-euro business unit. You own the P&L, the roadmap, the operating system, and the speed. Your job is to: build a business that didn’t exist yesterday and make it one of the next engines of papernest France.
Job Responsibility:
Scale the business from thousands → multi-million revenues within a year with clear milestones, leading indicators, and kill/scale rules
Design and run the operating machine (Sales, Quality, Legal, HR, Product, Data): tight cadences, dashboards, SLAs, routing rules, execution timelines
Build a long-term strategic roadmap for the BU and make it the reference document for the COO, founders, and all stakeholders
Own the P&L end-to-end: pricing, costs, staffing plans, margin structure, performance vs. plan
De-risk and accelerate: anticipate bottlenecks, run fast experiments, and ship improvements continuously
Arbitrate key decisions and shoot for the moon: Staff internally Vs. BPOs, Automate process with AI solutions
Act as an individual contributor with a strong operational focus
Requirements:
5 to 8 years of doing work where failure was possible and impact was measurable
fluency in French and in English
scaling something real: you’ve taken an initiative from low revenue to meaningful P&L impact during your past experiences
complex stakeholder orchestration: you coordinated complex cross-team projects toward a single target and made them move at your speed
framework thinking: you decompose problems into crisp models, not vague visions
operational excellence: you’ve run cadences, staffed teams, debugged processes, and delivered under time pressure. Past experience in Ops is an edge
analytical horsepower: you use numbers to decide, to focus
extreme ownership: You don’t outsource responsibility
bias to action: You default to “What’s the next concrete move ?”
resilience: hits, setbacks, failures but you keep going
ability to unify and energize: you make teams move faster and cleaner together
