Job Description

My client, a renowned Global Law Firm, is looking for someone to spearhead their growing LPM offering. The team is responsible for delivering data insights and process improvements that support both legal practitioners and services across the Firm. They are also tasked with managing matter setup, budgeting, tracking, and reporting among other LPM-related responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage, coach and mentor a high performing LPM team
  • Track projects with robust budget versus actual reporting
  • Develop a suite of standardized budget templates and project plans
  • Identify opportunities to improve the creation of budgets
  • Utilize budget tracking for all matters regardless of fee arrangement type
  • Work closely with lawyers to develop matter budgets and staffing strategies
  • Develop and refine scoping and estimate templates and procedures
  • Create and deploy firmwide training on LPM methodologies and best practices
  • Develop and lead training and implementation of LPM systems
  • Partner closely with the Pricing team
  • Drive the development of templated responses and reporting
  • Utilize proven project management techniques and technology
  • Assess LPM technologies and training modules
  • Explore and integrate technology solutions into attorney workflows
  • Leverage data visualization tools to deliver insights and recommendations
  • Draft and edit highly professional, accurate, and actionable email correspondence
  • Assist with pricing requests and other team deliverables as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Significant Law Firm project management experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of financial terms and metrics
  • Ability to maintain complex spreadsheets (creative use of formulas, sophisticated data presentation, pivot tables)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
