Job Responsibility

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse IT team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing models, schedules, and on-call coverage to support round-the-clock operations
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development planning
  • Promote a culture rooted in safety, integrity, and respectful engagement
  • Contribute to enterprise IT planning and modernization efforts
  • Oversee service management platforms, help desk tools, and IT operational systems
  • Support companywide initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence
  • Lead and deliver IT initiatives such as system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and application rollouts
  • Define project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and success measures
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful outcomes
  • Direct the architecture, deployment, and support of servers, networks, storage platforms, and cloud services
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of core business applications such as ERP, CRM, and collaboration tools
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patching cycles, and technology refresh initiatives
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or network management
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, endpoint management, and remote support tools
  • Deep understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, virtualization, server infrastructure, and cloud technologies
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, enterprise storage, and hybrid environments
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, SIEM tools, and identity/access management
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed

Nice to have

  • IT leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments, including IT/OT integration
  • Background with Microsoft Azure, Intune, Defender, and cloud-first security models
  • Experience supporting enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP, Infor, Epicor, or NetSuite
  • Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, or security frameworks relevant to regulated industries
  • Project management credentials (PMP, ITIL, CompTIA Project+, or similar)
  • Experience driving digital transformation, modernization, or automation initiatives
  • Proven success leading multi-site or distributed IT teams
