Job Description:

This leadership role requires a strong background in financial services and accounting, with a focus on delivering accurate financial statements and overseeing key reporting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in wealth management and portfolio accounting, along with a commitment to driving organizational success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Manage and oversee the budgeting process, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Supervise the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Coordinate year-end reporting and profit-sharing documentation to meet organizational goals
  • Lead audits and ensure proper reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Support financial planning initiatives, delivering actionable insights to drive growth
  • Utilize and maintain accounting software systems, with a preference for QuickBooks and Tamarac
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams to align financial reporting with wealth management objectives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering growth and development
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Proven expertise in wealth management, portfolio management, or related areas
  • Strong proficiency in preparing financial statements, budgets, and tax returns
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • experience with Tamarac is a plus
  • Solid understanding of auditing processes and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage complex financial tasks
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
