Job Description

Atlassian is seeking a Manager of Finance Strategic Initiatives to partner across the finance leadership team in driving critical cross-functional programs to desired results. This role will involve financial modeling, program development, and partnerships with various teams to support company vision and decision-making. The position is aligned with CFO priorities and involves working in a fully distributed company with flexibility in remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements.

Job Responsibility

  • Build high level strategic opportunity and financial models to develop insights and drive recommendations
  • Identify, develop strategic rationale, and size opportunities to inform company vision, strategy, and financial decisions
  • Drive change by working closely with and creating aligned, actionable recommendations with cross-functional partners across finance, strategy, analytics, product, and go-to-market
  • Develop and maintain program plans, balance project schedules and provide regular updates and reports on project progress, dependencies and risks
  • Support the business cadence for the CFO, including periodic business updates to increase visibility and accountability around key metrics
  • Own the execution of program initiatives with a focus on ensuring that the team is driving towards the best outcomes for our teams
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings amongst internal stakeholders to drive decisions in order to advance program goals
  • Engage with cross functional teams to build positive and collaborative partnerships and ensure programs are operating and executing according to goals and needs.

Requirements

  • 8 years experience in program management, strategy, finance, or consulting
  • ideally have 2+ years' experience working at a scaling SaaS technology company
  • be a self-starter who is able to take leadership ideas and synthesize them into priorities, programs, structured analyses and recommendations that teams can implement effectively
  • be comfortable with data and ambiguity, and be able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level business strategy
  • be able to articulately present and debate recommendations at the executive level, leveraging insights to tell a compelling story to help influence key decisions
  • have strong proficiencies financial and scenario modeling skills using Excel / Google Sheets (can perform complex functions).
