Job Description

This role will lead and scale the customer-facing EHR integration engineering team, driving strategy, execution, and standardization of integrations between enterprise healthcare clients and advanced AI-based healthcare solutions. The position requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills to build and grow a high-performing team. The Manager of EHR Integrations will own the strategy and execution of all EHR integration activities, providing leadership to a team of up to five integration engineers. This role will design, implement, and optimize processes that scale integration capabilities across multiple enterprise healthcare clients. The manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including technical integration developers, product managers, R&D, and medical data analysts to ensure seamless data flow and support of products. Candidates must be able to work EST time zone.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of integration engineers, fostering professional development and team cohesion
  • Design, own, and continuously improve integration implementation processes to drive efficiency, standardization, and quality
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, R&D, and medical data analytics teams to align integration strategy with company objectives
  • Build strong relationships with IT stakeholders at large health systems and provider groups to ensure successful data extraction and workflow integration
  • Develop and maintain internal tools, scripts, and automation processes to optimize team productivity
  • Oversee and support integrations using industry-standard technologies, including: HL7 ADT and DFT interfaces for Epic and Cerner, FHIR-based integration for clinical documentation, SFTP for secure file transfer and management, Billing extracts including diagnosis codes, charges, and other core billing information, ORU interfaces for radiology orders, Flat files for medication administration results and billing indicators
  • Proactively identify risks, workflow challenges, and opportunities to improve internal and customer-facing integration processes
  • Serve as a technical and strategic advisor for the team, providing guidance on complex integration solutions
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to scale integration strategy, processes, and best practices across multiple client implementations

Requirements

  • Healthcare experience required, with demonstrated knowledge of EHR systems and clinical or revenue cycle workflows
  • Experience with EMR integrations, ideally including Epic and/or Cerner, and associated billing and coding workflows
  • Proven ability to lead, grow, and develop high-performing technical teams
  • Strong technical expertise in HL7, FHIR, SFTP, ORU, DFT, ADT, and billing extract interfaces
  • Experience designing integration strategies and implementing scalable processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and comfort balancing multiple projects in a dynamic environment
