Job Responsibility:

  • Support your leader in participating in the build category-level bi-weekly promotional plans
  • Partner to build category and branded coupon offer pools
  • Ensures brand-level promo and coupon plans drive unit lift and profitable sales growth
  • Support select CMs in aligning vendor promo submissions/ideas with category guardrails
  • Collaborates on the creation of differentiated business unit, seasonal, and/or bi-weekly promotional events
  • Partners cross-functionally to leverage outputs of current reporting tools
  • Executes on tactical steps within project plans with minimal support
  • Partners across departments in the Front Store to support the execution of project plans
  • Partners with IT to develop requirements as needed for projects
  • Partners with Senior Managers to communicate plans, risks, and opportunities
  • Executes a prioritized roadmap that successfully delivers the company’s ambitions
  • Leads and participates in meetings/calls with corporate partners and retail executives
  • Follows-up on strategic initiatives and KPI performance
  • Continually partners with Senior Manager to evaluate performance against category KPIs
  • Evaluates promo & coupon programs & individual offers for category/branded impact
  • Leverages a results-oriented mindset to assign appropriate timelines and accountabilities
  • Works cross-functionally with CSC partners to develop strategies and action plans
  • Optimizes use of data to support field execution of key programs and processes
  • Supports the Category Promo & Coupon Planning & Execution Team in crafting and adapting yellow tag promo and category/branded coupon planning and execution strategy
  • Facilitates the creation of field facing materials with cross-functional Communications partnership
  • Supports the Senior Managers in developing an effective communication strategy
  • Supports reporting and analysis for deep dive/follow up questions
  • Adapts current reporting to inform strategies to predict and mitigate sales or assortment needs
  • Translates data insights into meaningful insights and actions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience of developing, implementing and executing retail merchandising and/or marketing programs
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly competitive multi-unit environment
  • 5+ years’ proven track record of influencing others with and without authority
  • 5+ years’ experience actively taking on issues in a decisive manner
  • 5+ years’ experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics in real time
  • 5+ years’ experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations
  • 5+ years’ experience effectively demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years’ experience collaborating effectively across different business functions
  • 5+ years’ experience demonstrated ability to lead a large organization and manage a multi-million-dollar business unit
  • Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability, and willingness, to travel regularly, up to 20% of time
