Job Description

The Manager of Business Applications serves as the primary Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for our client’s Finance, Human Resources, and Legal organizations. This role owns the strategic technology partnership with these business functions and is responsible for translating business priorities into IT initiatives across our Oracle Cloud platform. This individual will oversee strategic project delivery as well as ongoing enhancements and production support, partnering closely with internal teams and managed service providers. The role includes direct management of a Project Manager and Business Systems Analysts, ensuring delivery accountability, stakeholder satisfaction, and long-term platform stability. The position requires a strong balance of business acumen, relationship management, and high-level technical oversight (approximately 10% hands-on technical involvement).

Job Responsibility

  • Serves as the primary Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for our client’s Finance, Human Resources, and Legal organizations
  • Owns the strategic technology partnership with these business functions

Requirements

  • ERP application experience (Oracle preferred
  • Workday or SAP acceptable)
  • Business Relationship Management (BRM) experience
  • Managing enterprise applications for Finance, HR, and/or Legal
  • Vendor and managed services partner management
  • Project delivery oversight (ERP or enterprise systems)
  • Strong stakeholder communication, including executive-level interactions
  • People management (managing BSAs and PMs)
  • Understanding of Finance and HR business processes

Nice to have

  • Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP and/or HCM)
  • Oracle Fusion configuration experience
  • Oracle EBS certification
  • PMP, ITIL, or Oracle Cloud Implementor certifications
  • Experience with ITSM and PPM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
  • MBA or Master’s degree
