We are seeking an Accounting Manager that will report to the Corporate Controller/Head of Finance. This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta. The Company is established with diverse operations across professional services, commercial services, and technology. Mid $8 figure revenue, profitable and well capitalized. The Controller/Head of Finance is very collaborative, and this role will have visibility across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting deliverables
Coordinate and oversee tax reporting and compliance activities, including collaboration with external tax advisors
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating audit activities
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP)
Proficiency in accounting software, such as FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
