Job Description:

We are seeking an Oracle Database and Exadata specialist with extensive hands‑on experience across RAC and non‑RAC environments, Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, Exadata systems and OCI. The role involves managing installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, monitoring, performance tuning and cloud‑based database operations. The individual will work across Linux and UNIX platforms, ensuring secure, high‑availability database environments, while supporting both on‑premise and cloud‑based deployments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform Oracle database installations, configurations and upgrades across RAC and non‑RAC environments
  • Manage Oracle Clusterware setup, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Carry out Data Guard and GoldenGate configurations and administration
  • Execute end‑to‑end database migrations and patching activities (including RAC, non‑RAC, Clusterware and Exadata stack)
  • Configure and manage RMAN backups and restorations
  • Install and configure monitoring tools, including OEM agents and relevant targets
  • Support security compliance by implementing database security controls and coordinating with auditors
  • Conduct disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Apply ITIL processes for incident and problem management, including root‑cause analysis
  • Liaise effectively with clients and vendors
  • Manage Exadata‑specific tasks, including storage index configuration, flash cache operations, hardware replacement, Exachk and Exawatcher
  • Manage OCI environments, including compartments, compute instances, Data Guard, object storage, file storage and load balancers
  • Configure and manage Oracle Autonomous Databases
  • Oversee IAM management and cloud security controls
  • Support cloud scaling, topology and distributed operations

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Oracle database administration across RAC and non‑RAC environments
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Oracle Clusterware, Data Guard, GoldenGate and ASM
  • Proficiency in Linux and UNIX environments, including shell scripting and kernel parameters
  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NFS and TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with Exadata administration, patching and hardware‑related activities
  • Solid understanding of OCI services, cloud computing principles and cloud security concepts
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and monitoring tools such as OEM
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
