Job Responsibility
Lead and mentor Registered Nurses
Oversee clinical operations
Advocate for patient and team needs
Drive professional development and achieve unit goals
Schedule nursing staff to specific shifts
Measure employee performance
Assist in training new staff and developing existing staff
Coordinate activities of the unit during a shift
Direct, organize, and assign work to nursing staff
Assess, monitor, and educate nursing staff on patient care
Institute emergency procedures as necessary
Provide nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ RN license or Compact State
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
One (1) year of leadership experience
American Heart Association
Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
