Job Description

As our OR Nursing Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence. Every day, you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals. To be successful in this role, you will embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions. You'll skillfully navigate challenges, ensuring individual performance and overall unit success.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and mentor Registered Nurses
  • Oversee clinical operations
  • Advocate for patient and team needs
  • Drive professional development and achieve unit goals
  • Interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations
  • Oversee functional and technical job performance of team members
  • Allocate and direct staffing needs
  • Manage performance including goal-setting, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues
  • Monitor and oversee customer and patient engagement, growth, quality initiatives and patient safety for multiple departments
  • Coordinate and manage operating systems, operational standardization, service standards and communication methods

Requirements

  • Bachelors Nursing Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline
  • Registered Nurse: NE
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Masters Degree and a minimum of five years of progressive work experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Nice to have

  • Masters Degree and a minimum of five years of progressive work experience
