Job Description:

Manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered
  • Evaluates needs of patients and families and provides patient and family centered care
  • Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization/retention, payroll and student engagements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors: Nursing (Required)
  • Three (3) years nursing and one (1) year supervisory experience
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate
  • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or enrolled in an accredited program
