Job Description

As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will lead our Campaign Operations team and take ownership of the management, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns through Marketo. You will ensure our marketing automation platform runs flawlessly and efficiently while collaborating with cross-functional teams and agency partners to align operational execution with overarching business goals. This is a dynamic role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on campaign execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise the campaign operations team, ensuring that all Campaign Operations requests in the Content Marketing Platform (CMP) are actively monitored and fulfilled
  • Enforce adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and rigorous quality assurance (QA) processes
  • Act as a strategic partner to marketing stakeholders, guiding them on process to ensure their requirements are clearly defined and successfully met
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to manage expectations, project milestones, and end-to-end campaign timelines
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and scalable campaign templates for the team
  • Own and drive the roadmap for our Marketing Automation Platform (MAP)
  • Help orchestrate and optimize our integrated tech stack workflow, specifically driving the CMP -> Opal -> MAP story
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Ops AI Associate to map out and execute the AI strategy for Campaign Operations
  • Champion continuous process improvement, identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable operational solutions
  • Build, deploy, and manage email, paid media, content, and event campaigns directly within Marketo
  • Develop advanced audience segmentation, create smart lists, and implement dynamic content strategies to scale personalization
  • Set up, launch, and analyze A/B tests for email campaigns, generating actionable performance reports to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of landing pages to guarantee optimal user experience and ensure leads are being processed and captured correctly
  • Ensure accurate technical tracking across all campaigns (UTMs, Salesforce Campaign member statuses) to support closed-loop ROI and attribution reporting
  • Manage list operations, including QA'ing event attendee lists and flawlessly importing data into Marketo and Salesforce
  • Troubleshoot Marketo/Salesforce list imports and sync issues to ensure leads are successfully routed to the correct sales queues
  • Oversee and implement operational updates to the 'order of operations' processes within Marketo
  • Continuously monitor and maintain the overall health, hygiene, and compliance of our Marketo database
  • Enforce strict compliance with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM) regarding opt-ins, opt-outs, and communication limits

Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, with a strong, dedicated focus on Campaign Operations
  • Deep expertise in Marketing Automation Platforms—Marketo is highly preferred, though we are open to power users of other leading platforms
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is also critical
  • Exceptional project management and time management capabilities, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, execute multi-channel campaigns, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively guide stakeholders, seamlessly translate technical concepts to non-technical teams, and manage project timelines
  • Demonstrated experience supervising team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and aligning cross-functional teams (including external agency partners) toward shared business objectives

Requirements
  • 8–10 years of experience in B2B SaaS Marketing Operations, with a clear track record of connecting marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes. You've been a trusted commercial partner to senior marketing leaders - Scope you've owned matters more than titles.
  • Strong analytics capability: you can build models, interpret data and present findings in a way that drives decisions. You understand multi-touch attribution, funnel conversion analysis and pipeline forecasting - and you know the limits of each.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Pardot and Salesforce, including the integration between them. Familiarity with the broader MarTech stack is a plus.
  • A real point of view on AI in MarOps. You've used Claude or equivalent LLMs in production workflows, you know what agentic automation is actually good for, and you can tell the difference between a vendor demo and a working capability.
  • Experience designing funnels, lifecycle stages, and lead routing in a hybrid PLG + SLG motion — Aiven is both.
  • Track record of making budget and vendor calls: renewals, simplification, build vs. buy. You've said no to a vendor before and made it stick.
  • Strong stakeholder skills. Comfortable pushing back on a VP when you think they're wrong, and comfortable being pushed back on when you are.
  • A preference — not a requirement — for prior people management experience. If you haven't managed before but can make a credible case, we want to hear it.
  • Comfort in a company that still feels like a scale-up: ambiguity, context-switching, occasional fire drills, and the freedom to fix what's broken.
Job Responsibility
Job Responsibility
  • Own marketing analytics and insight: measure funnel performance end-to-end, attribute pipeline accurately, identify where we're generating returns and where we're not, and translate findings into clear recommendations for the VP of Marketing and GTM leadership.
  • Act as the strategic thought partner to the VP of Marketing: challenge her thinking on where to invest and what to cut, translate ambitions into funnel and MarTech roadmap and own the 'how' behind her 'what'.
  • Design and govern the end-to-end funnel — from capture to pipeline — with a relentless focus on conversion rates, velocity and leakage. Define what good looks like at each stage and hold the business to it.
  • Keep Marketing and Sales genuinely aligned: own lifecycle stage definitions, lead routing and handoff SLAs and the feedback loops that tell Marketing whether what it's sending Sales is actually any good.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the MarTech, Marketing Operations, and Analytics functions. Set clear priorities, unblock execution and build the capability the function needs as Aiven scales.
  • Own and evolve Aiven's MarTech stack - anchored on Pardot and Salesforce - with a clear roadmap for what to keep, what to cut and what to build. Make the budget and vendor calls
  • partner with RevOps and Finance on renewals and simplification.
  • Drive AI adoption inside Marketing Operations: deploy agentic workflows, LLM-based automation to replace manual work, accelerate insight generation and unblock capabilities we do have.
  • Own the data quality and governance: field mappings, deduplication, enrichment flows, GDPR and consent compliance. Clean data is the foundation everything else depends on.
  • Drive adoption of new tools and processes. New capabilities only count when people actually use them - own the rollout, the enablement and the change management that makes it stick.
