The Manager, Business Development is an experienced professional who executes high-level proposal strategy and supports business development initiatives across Texas. This role focuses on creating compelling, customized pitches and proposals while providing expert-level execution of sales enablement activities. The position requires deep industry knowledge and advanced skills in content creation, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team on complex pursuits.
Job Responsibility:
Executes high-level proposal strategy by creating customized, quality pitches, proposals, RFP responses and client/prospect presentations for new business pursuits and renewals in Texas markets
Manages complex pursuits from start to finish, coordinating timelines and supporting rehearsals
Develops strategic insights and analysis on pursuit-related data relevant to potential clients and industries
Uses knowledge of market and competitors to strengthen the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators in proposals
Participates in and contributes to internal debriefs and post-pursuit analysis sessions
Maintains and analyzes pursuit-related data to deliver strategic summaries for potential clients
Serves as a multi-business line expert across tenant rep, industrial, agency, and retail
Coordinates with design and research teams and identifies when to engage subject matter experts
Supports go-to-market strategies and contributes to business development resource management
Collaborates effectively with team members while focusing on individual execution excellence
Facilitates project distribution among team members
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing
5-8 years of related experience with real estate or adjacent industry background preferred
Advanced project management skills and expert knowledge of graphic design, digital and print production
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
Technologically savvy with ability to evaluate and implement new tools
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Deep understanding of and commitment to client service
Strategic thinking and business development acumen
Multi-platform expertise across JLL service lines
