As Canfor Southern Pine’s Manager, Market Development – Engineered Wood Products (EWP), you’re the catalyst for market expansion and brand recognition.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and executing sales plans to expand Canfor’s presence in commercial, industrial, and mass timber market segments
  • Building and nurturing relationships with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and regional distribution partners
  • Driving pull-through demand for Power Products® through specification and education of industry stakeholders
  • Analyzing market trends, identifying new distribution opportunities, and supporting regional partners to grow market share and profitability
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver superior product solutions and secure key accounts
  • Monitoring market pricing, competitive intel, and order trends to ensure strategic positioning and supply-demand balance
  • Participating in trade events, plant tours, and marketing initiatives to build brand recognition and support market entry
  • Setting objectives, implementing strategies, and developing action plans to improve long-term sales and margin growth
  • Providing quotes, managing distributor effectiveness, and supporting the development of marketing tools and support services

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineered wood products industry
  • At least 5 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge of building construction, residential, non-residential, and commercial sectors (commercial construction experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practical computer skills, including Microsoft Office products

Nice to have:

EWP design software knowledge is a plus
