As a Manager Maintenance you will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems
  • Participate in setting objectives, plan development and performance review of plant performance
  • Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program
  • Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment
  • Establish and maintain computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations
  • Supervise plant maintenance personnel
  • Ensure maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated
  • Communicate regularly with maintenance technicians
  • Assist with hiring of maintenance personnel
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Maintain and update operating and training manuals
  • Ensure all maintenance technicians are trained on updated operating procedures
  • Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems
  • Review operation of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Initiate and carry out projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
  • Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters
  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations are met
  • Direct, maintain and enforce the safety program
  • Coordinate activities with other departments
  • Communicate with operations department to coordinate maintenance
  • Communicate with QA laboratory
  • Act as a lead for turnaround planning activities
  • Manage and facilitate work scope development for contractors during turnarounds
  • Implement programs to ensure plant cleanliness
  • Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions

Requirements:

  • Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ten years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility required
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred

  • Improve the process by coordinating changes in operations, controls, equipment, procedures, parameters, operational theory and other related items
  • Prepare justification, cost estimates and other project documents as required for approval
  • Develop technical specifications to procure equipment and services
  • Provide assistance with installation, startup and performance testing of multiple projects concurrently
