Job Description

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within an organization, responsible for driving the team's success and contributing to the achievement of broader organizational goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the process. The manager will be responsible for setting goals, developing and implementing strategies, and ensuring that the team meets its objectives. The manager will also be responsible for hiring and developing staff and creating a positive and productive work environment. He/She will work closely with other departments to ensure that operations are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. This team is working to expand AlphaSense’s financial data offering and support the needs of our clients. The team’s tasks will include: identifying, sourcing and curating new content, configuring automatic content ingestion processes, and monitoring content quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage a team of content curation analysts and team leads, providing guidance, support, and coaching to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members and ensure they have the necessary resources and training to meet them
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement in a constructive manner
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set performance targets, and make growth related decisions within the team
  • Provide guidance and leadership in hiring decisions, team structuring, and the development of team members' skills and careers
  • Create and manage budgets, allocate resources, and optimize spending
  • Serve as a point of escalation for resolving complex issues and conflicts, working closely with team leads and analysts to find timely and effective solutions
  • Collaborate with other departments/teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and standards
  • Ensure that organizational policies and procedures are implemented within their department/team, maintaining compliance
  • Drive initiatives and suggest lean ideas to improve business efficiency

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of all aspects of sourcing, curating and supporting M&A transactions data
  • Strong preference for technically-savvy candidates with solid understanding of language models and content extraction techniques
  • Proven experience in a team leadership role (minimum 5 years)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with high level of comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple changing priorities effectively
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of team dynamics, performance management, and employee development
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a results-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree (with strong academic record)
