Job Description:

We're looking for a Manager, IT Systems Engineering to join our IT team. The IT team at Anaconda keeps a distributed, security-conscious workforce running - and we're building toward something more: an automation-first, AI-enabled enterprise where IT is a strategic enabler, not just a support function. We are a Google Workspace organization, and deep fluency with the Google ecosystem is essential to this role. This is a hands-on management role. You'll lead a team of IT engineers responsible for identity governance, SaaS operations, endpoint management, and IT General Controls (ITGC) - while staying technically engaged: configuring integrations, building AI-driven workflows, and driving orchestration across the IT stack. You'll translate IT strategy into engineering delivery, partnering closely with Security, Legal, and Anaconda leadership to turn initiative into execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead day-to-day execution across enterprise IT systems, translating strategic initiatives into actionable roadmaps and measurable deliverables - keeping the team focused on outcomes, not just output
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of IT engineers through structured performance conversations, career development planning, and a culture of ownership and technical excellence
  • Evolve identity and access governance by maturing existing Okta Workflows, OIG configurations, and lifecycle management policies - increasing automation coverage and driving audit-ready provisioning through API orchestration
  • Advance the Rippling-to-Okta integration, maturing RBAC controls and role-based provisioning models so HR lifecycle events flow cleanly into identity governance, access management, and IT operations
  • Design and implement enterprise MDM programs (Kandji, Intune, Hexnode), establishing device lifecycle controls and integrating endpoint governance into broader ITGC frameworks
  • Drive SaaS governance and systems standardization across Google Workspace and the broader SaaS portfolio, reducing shadow IT risk through lifecycle processes and integration strategy
  • Build and deploy AI agents and enhanced workflows across provisioning, ticket triage, and automation - directly involved in designing, testing, and iterating on agent-based solutions that make identity, endpoint, SaaS, and AI processes work as a cohesive, auditable platform

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure roles
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical teams, including performance management and career development
  • Hands-on experience with Okta (including Workflows and OIG), MDM platforms (Kandji, Intune, or Hexnode), and SaaS governance tools
  • Demonstrated experience with Google Workspace administration, including Admin Console, directory services, and identity integration patterns
  • Experience with HRIS integrations (Rippling or equivalent) and automating HR-to-IT lifecycle workflows
  • Experience implementing IT controls in audit-driven environments, including SOC 2 compliance across access, change, and system operations
  • Experience with automation tooling, scripting, and API-based integrations in an enterprise IT context
  • You embody our values: “Curious by Default”, “Build Together”, “Own It”, and “Lead with Guts and Heart”, and our behaviors: Clarity, Care and Candor
  • You care deeply about fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds and experiences can flourish

Nice to have:

  • Experience preparing organizations for SOC 2, ISO, or SOX-lite audit readiness, with documented control frameworks and evidence collection processes
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying AI agents, LLM-based workflows, or intelligent automation within IT operations - including familiarity with AI governance and enterprise AI risk controls
  • Experience scaling IT operations in a high-growth SaaS or open-source environment, where governance and automation maturity had to be built alongside the business
What we offer:
  • Flexible Vacation Policy
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Monthly Wellness Stipend
  • Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health Resources
  • Annual bonus potential
  • Equity participation
