The IT Software and Services Manager is responsible for managing the procurement, vendor relationships, and lifecycle of software and IT services globally. This role ensures cost optimization, compliance and alignment with business objective while driving strategic sourcing initiatives, developing category strategies, and supporting stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Leading sourcing and procurement activities for software licenses, SaaS solutions, and IT services
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and best value for Baxter
Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation
Develop and implement category strategies for software and IT services to optimize spend and supplier performance
Conduct market analysis, benchmark pricing, and identify innovation opportunities within categories
Align category strategies with business objective and technology roadmaps
Analyze software and IT services spend to identify consolidation and cost-savings opportunities
Implement strategies to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), while maintaining service quality
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
Act as the primary point of contact for IT procurement needs, ensuring clear and timely communications
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, Business Functions) to understand requirements and priorities
Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to review status updates, upcoming renewals, and strategic initiatives
Provide education and guidance on procurement policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
5 or more years in IT Procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
Strong knowledge of software licensing models and IT service agreements
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects
