We’re seeking a Manager, IT Network Engineering to lead a talented team responsible for supporting and advancing a complex, mission-driven enterprise environment serving thousands of users across multiple locations. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping technical strategy, mentoring teams, driving large initiatives, and building reliable, scalable network environments. While networking expertise is essential, this role is focused primarily on leadership, planning, and execution rather than day-to-day hands-on engineering. You’ll partner closely with senior IT leadership to define long-term infrastructure strategy, oversee critical projects, and create an environment where teams thrive.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and mentor a team of Network Engineers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
  • Establish team goals and align initiatives with broader organizational technology strategies
  • Develop a culture of ownership, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching, performance development, and career guidance
  • Develop and execute network engineering roadmaps and long-term infrastructure plans
  • Serve as the primary leader for enterprise networking initiatives and expansion efforts
  • Ensure reliability, security, performance, and scalability of critical network systems
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and networking solutions
  • Oversee 4–6 concurrent, large-scale, multi-year initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience with responsibility for managing technical teams and direct reports
  • Experience supporting large enterprise environments with 1,000+ users and distributed infrastructure
  • Proven success leading teams through multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies and infrastructure strategy
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational demands
  • Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise networking environments
  • Routing and switching protocols including: TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN technologies, L2–L7 networking
  • Cisco VoIP solutions (Call Manager, Unity, Presence)
  • Wireless networking technologies
  • Network monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds or similar platforms
