Job Description:

The Manager, Enterprise Tools will lead the team responsible for 1Password’s core collaboration and productivity ecosystem, including Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Zoom, Asana, OpenAI/ChatGPT, and Enterprise Search, as well as the integration and workflow automation layer that connects these systems. As the founding manager of this newly created team, you will build the function from the ground up, establishing the team's operating model, culture, and foundational processes while growing the team's size and scope. This role ensures that enterprise tools operate in a consistent, scalable, secure, and well-governed manner by overseeing service configuration, vendor strategy, cross-system workflows, and AI-driven automation capabilities. The manager will transform the team into the company's center of excellence for enterprise tools and workflow automation, and guide the expansion of the team's scope to include specialized business systems as the organization scales.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set strategy and priorities for enterprise tools and workflow automation in alignment with IT and company-wide goals, partnering with senior ICs to shape and deliver the technical roadmap
  • Drive AI enablement strategy for enterprise tools, partnering with Internal AI leadership to evaluate, implement, and govern AI features (such as ChatGPT Enterprise) with attention to security, compliance, and organizational readiness
  • Build and lead a high-performing Enterprise Tools team, ensuring clarity of ownership, consistent processes, and a strong operational foundation
  • Establish governance for service configuration, cross-system workflows, data flows, and automation enablement
  • Oversee vendor relationships, renewals, and license management for core enterprise tools
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable operation of enterprise tools, integrations, and workflow automation, including effective change management and clear communication
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, well-governed enterprise tool implementations
  • Prepare the team and roadmap for future ownership of specialized business systems

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience managing high-performing IT professionals
  • 6+ years of experience in IT
  • Experience leading and developing a team of IT engineers or technical ICs responsible for enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms, integrations, and workflow automation
  • Experience providing technical leadership and decision-making guidance across tools such as Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Zoom, Asana, ChatGPT, and similar platforms, even when not hands-on
  • Experience designing, supporting, and governing cross-system integrations and automation workflows that scale across the organization
  • Track record of setting strategy, planning roadmaps, and driving delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives while scaling systems and team capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to make structured decisions around platform configuration, access models, vendor management, AI feature considerations, and governance standards
