Job Description:

We are seeking a Manager – Investment Platform Services to play a pivotal role at the intersection of Operations, Technology, Data, Change and Investments within a complex, regulated financial services environment. This role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance and operational oversight of core investment and data platforms, acting as the central point of coordination between internal teams and key third-party platform providers. You will ensure platforms remain fit for purpose, scalable and aligned to evolving business, regulatory and operational needs. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and vendor management capability, alongside a deep understanding of investment operations and change delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Platform Strategy & Oversight: Own the strategic direction and operational oversight of investment and data platforms across internal and vendor-provided systems
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Lead strategic relationships with external platform providers
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Investments, Operations, Risk, Technology and Data
  • Risk, Governance & Controls: Take accountability for identifying, assessing and mitigating platform-related risks
  • Solution Prioritisation & Value Delivery: Oversee assessment and prioritisation of platform enhancements
  • Change Governance & Delivery: Provide senior representation in change forums and steering groups
  • Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing
  • Reporting & Strategic Insight: Deliver clear, data-driven reporting to executive and governance forums on platform performance, risk profile, change progress and forward roadmap

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of investment products and asset classes, including Fixed Income and Derivatives
  • Deep knowledge of investment platforms and operating models (e.g. order management, trading, compliance, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions)
  • Experience working within regulated environments (FCA / PRA), ideally asset management, insurance or banking
  • Proven experience leading or managing teams within investment operations, technology, data or change functions
  • Track record of delivering platform enhancements and change initiatives
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into system or process solutions
  • Experience influencing across business, technology and change disciplines

Nice to have:

Exposure to major investment platforms such as Aladdin, LUSID or Murex is highly desirable
