STERIS is seeking a Manager, International Tax to join the corporate Tax Department located at our North American headquarters in Mentor, Ohio. You will manage specific aspects of the International Tax function at STERIS, including detailed document review for International income taxes, compliance, reporting, Non-U.S. audits, transfer pricing and more. Job Responsibility:
Review non-US quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations (ASC 740)
Review account reconciliations for Non-US locations
Review supporting documentation for international provisions of US federal income tax compliance
Review Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 and other associated tax return disclosures
Review Canada and Puerto Rico income and non-income tax returns
Assist with support of U.S. international and non-U.S. tax return positions upon audit
Support business development through minimization of tax on cross border acquisitions and/or dispositions
Assist with documentation and support of tax policies and procedures to comply with Sarbanes Oxley
Assist with planning for tax efficient repatriation of foreign cash
Review documentation prepared for special projects or tax planning opportunities
Perform tax research and assist with tax planning
Lead and mentor International tax analysts
Assist with other tasks related to Non-U.S. activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 9 years federal corporate income tax with specialization in international tax within a multinational organization and/or public accounting firm for at least 5 years
OR Master’s Degree in Taxation, plus a minimum of 7 years federal corporate income tax experience with specialization in international tax for at least 3 years
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
Nice to have:
Experience managing, leading, and/or mentoring international tax analysts
CPA
Knowledge of Oracle Applications R12
Strong written and oral communication skills
