We are seeking an International Legal Entity Controller to take full ownership of statutory financial reporting, controls, and compliance for allocated international legal entities. This role offers end-to-end exposure to legal entity financials, requiring a strong understanding of business strategy, products, and relevant IFRS and disclosure requirements. The individual will work closely with Finance Operations, Enterprise Finance, Tax, Treasury, auditors, and Group Finance to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient financial outcomes aligned to the Vodafone Finance Operating Model
Job Responsibility
Take end-to-end ownership of statutory financial reporting for allocated international legal entities
Review monthly legal entity results, ensuring all income statement and balance sheet drivers are clearly understood and evidenced through management accounts
Deliver value-added financial analysis on revenues, costs, and balance sheet movements for senior management and Boards where applicable
Produce statutory accounts with robust supporting working papers, ensuring high levels of accuracy and timeliness
Ensure all financial controls operate effectively and in line with Vodafone policies and procedures
Oversee local finance and tax compliance obligations across legal entities
Act as the single point of contact for the legal entity, coordinating resolution of complex, cross-functional issues
Configure and maintain ONESOURCE templates, including data mapping aligned to local statutory requirements, and coordinate validation with local experts
Drive standardisation and simplification of statutory accounts production processes
Support and execute change initiatives to align entities with the Vodafone Finance Operating Model
Collaborate closely with internal and external service delivery teams, auditors, and key finance stakeholders
Requirements
A qualified accountant with 4+ years of post-qualification experience and sound knowledge of IFRS
Experienced in statutory reporting within complex or international environments
Confident in interpreting and applying accounting standards pragmatically
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with strong communication and presentation capabilities
Comfortable working in shared service or matrixed environments
Experienced in change management and finance transformation initiatives
Technically strong, with exposure to ONESOURCE considered an advantage
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
