We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineering project manager to manage design & deployment of WeWork IT, AV & security infrastructure across mainland Europe and UK. In this role, you will work within the larger project delivery team in London with project managers, cost managers, ICT design on a variety of projects to support WeWork member requests and internal upgrade initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Work cross functionally to drive regional technology infrastructure projects with internal stakeholders within Technology, Development, Operations, Security and Real Estate
Manage small and large projects in our existing portfolio of about 90 buildings in 13 different countries
Manage project budgets, review tenders, and track costs using internal financial tools
Ensure all tendering and appointing is done in line with WeWork Policy and drives competition and value for money
Ensure adherence to Comms Room strategy, validating that standards are followed for room sizes & strategy
Modify or review basic technical design drawings for low voltage data cabling, AV designs, and security strategy when required to support deployment
Coordinate with vendors on site and support escalation including reports and failures
Ensure smooth handover of documentation & runbooks to Field Services & End User support and Security teams
Own performance management & analytics and drive team process improvement
Ensure team processes and documentations are maintained and seek opportunities to improve them using database workflow tools (specifically Coda or Monday.com)
Works with global team to roll out new processes & standards
Champions Building Technology Standards and identifies and suggests improvements for future iterations
Own relationship with IT/AV/Security vendors in the region
Investigate new partnerships and ensure no risks to the business with gaps in coverage or diversity of competition
Ensure all legal documentation relating to vendors is completed, signed by appropriate stakeholders and safely filed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology
3+ years experience in managing IT infrastructure projects
Ability to travel monthly 1-2 days at a time within Europe depending on project requirements
Technical subject matter expert in at least two of: Cabling, Active IT/Network, Audio-Visual, Security
Comfortable working in a team environment and adjusting to a multiplicity and variety of non-technical stakeholders
Experience in having direct responsibility for producing coordinated Low Voltage and / or Telecommunications construction documents
Broad knowledge of low voltage infrastructure, structured cabling and coordination strategy with focus on telecommunications and / or audio visual design
Have extensive experience of programme management and construction project delivery
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and modifying floor plans, technical drawings, and specifications
Understanding of the design and construction of IT Closets, MDF and Electrical Equipment Rooms
Experience in project completion and turnover for low voltage systems
Understanding of network architecture and information security compliance
Experience creating or managing workflows and databases using Coda (preferred) or Monday.com
Comfortable utilizing financial tools for budget tracking and project reporting
Habitually thinking outside the box and exploring new ways to execute projects
Gets happy and excited that no two days are the same & loves working with numerous people day to day
Nice to have:
Additional European languages (especially: French, German, Italian, Dutch or Polish) advantageous
Experience designing basic low voltage layouts is a plus
