Job Description

Managing operational the product flow of adidas efficiently and timely in a cost-effective way from the Origin until stocks are delivered to the DC / Customers [for direct shipments]. Working closely with Customer Service and Sales teams across channels. Responsibility also includes the daily monitoring of all related functions of inbound shipping, customs, clearing, forwarding and stock updates.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure smooth cooperation/network with direct reports as well as other team members
  • Responsible for efficient and timely product flow from factories to Customer DC’s or our own In-house DC
  • Overseeing the scheduling and tracking of inbound shipments, ensuring they arrive on time and in good condition
  • Leading the discussion with the shipping lines and inbound service provider account management team
  • Managing and tracking inbound deliveries during transit to final destination
  • Updating status inbound report (daily/weekly basis) and sharing information with required stakeholders
  • Responsible for timely maintenance of shipping instructions for all adidas items
  • Manage the documentation / SOPs process of inbound shipments
  • Ensure providing visibility (Forecast) for future Inbounds across SCM and external stakeholders
  • Build up the KPI and performance dimension with the service providers. Efficiently run QBR / MBR for the carriers and freight partners on regular basis and monitor performance, and deliver Global and local targets
  • Identifying areas for improvement in inbound logistics processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Build and manage inbound setup and find the most efficient product flow with the lowest cost and lead time
  • Collaborate with OBF teams to execute Seasonal delivery plan & prioritize the goods based on the demand signals
  • Set clear development targets together with top players. - Follow up development plan and review, quarterly review to make sure the gap is filled
  • Lead and Manage team members performance on regular basis
  • Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures for imported goods
  • Manage the claims process and ensure timely resolution of any products issues
  • Monitor financials, including monthly actuals vs forecast, rolling forecasts, and yearly budgets
  • Track detention and demurrage free days (D&D), ensuring minimal expenditures
  • Monitor port pendency of timely container movement within DC daily capacity
  • Quarter analysis of total lead time actuals vs targets from top origins
  • Ensure proper loading instructions are followed
  • Ensure all Harmonized System Codes (HS Codes) are correctly applied
  • Support the Global Team in the tendering process for new service providers or bids and assist with the implementation of key logistics projects (ex: FIP)
  • Approval of 3PL invoices from origin, transport, and customs
  • Collaborate with OBF to assess air-freight urgency and monitor costs

Requirements

  • University degree in Logistics, Supply chain with 2-4 years of overall work experience in Logistics
  • Experience with customs clearance and international shipping regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven decision making
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure, accepting and meeting critical deadlines
  • Strong and proven analytical and communication skills with attention to details
  • Competence, experienced and high level of IT affinity (MS Office/Teams needed / SAP/ Power BI knowledge is an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead and influence discussions in diverse groups of varying size (internal & external)
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and practices: Understanding of supply chain management, warehousing, and transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team: The ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with other stakeholders / departments
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or higher in Supply chain Management
  • 4-6 years of overall work experience in Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations
  • Experience in multi-national company
  • 2 years of managerial Experience
