As an Engineering Manager at Wrike, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver high‑impact product and platform initiatives. You’ll combine strong technical acumen with people leadership, process excellence, and product thinking to drive timely and measurable business outcomes. In this role, you will own results end‑to‑end – from discovery and planning through execution, rollout, and continuous improvement – while helping your team grow and do the best work of their careers.
Job Responsibility:
Go beyond formal execution by shaping and building product experiences that matter to customers, using metrics (e.g., customer value, adoption, reliability, and quality) to measure impact
Own projects end‑to‑end: discovery and solutioning in partnership with product and design, planning and sequencing, execution, release preparation and launch, post-release follow-ups and maintenance
Partner with product to define, communicate, and track team goals/OKRs aligned with product and company strategy
Make thoughtful prioritization and trade‑off decisions between scope, quality, and speed
Lead planning, estimation, and phased rollouts for large, cross‑functional projects and customer‑impacting changes
Improve how the team works by evolving processes, tools, and collaboration patterns, including using AI/automation to increase efficiency and value
Partner closely with Product Management and Design as part of an effective “triad” to deliver customer‑centric solutions
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant industry experience (engineering, technical leadership, and/or management)
3+ years of management experience, including leading cross‑functional teams
Proven track record of delivering measurable results (e.g., business impact, customer satisfaction, technical metrics (improved performance, reliability, quality, etc.), delivery metrics (team throughput, etc.)
Experience giving direct, timely feedback and handling difficult conversations with clarity and empathy
Solid engineering background with the ability to “speak the language” of engineers, review designs, ask the right technical questions and challenge decisions and estimations
Experience with planning, prioritization, and execution of complex customer-facing projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
able to tailor messages to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Experience in setting team goals and using metrics to manage and improve team performance
Strong track record in coaching, career development, and performance management
Proficiency with agile development practices and iterative delivery
Strong business and product sense: ability to connect technical work to customer value and company strategy
