As Manager Government Affairs and Society & Community Engagement Germany, you are responsible for developing and implementing strategies that ensure effective collaboration with government bodies and for representing ASML’s interests in Germany. The scope of the role includes steering, contributing to, and taking responsibility for political relations and external advocacy for ASML’s German sites. The Society & Community Engagement (S&CE) area includes the design, implementation, and management of impactful programs and projects that align with ASML’s global S&CE strategy. In this role, you focus on achieving measurable societal benefits, building strong relationships with community stakeholders, and supporting ASML’s ESG objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop annual priorities and goals in the area of Government Affairs, aligned with ASML’s strategic corporate objectives
  • Design, implement, and manage the external advocacy strategy with a focus on Germany
  • Lead political advocacy activities at the federal and state levels to advance political initiatives aligned with corporate objectives
  • Manage external consultants and lobbyists in Germany
  • Serve as the interface between ASML and political institutions to foster constructive relationships and political support
  • Maintain external relationships with industry partners, associations, and consortia to advance corporate interests

  • Monitor program performance and impact using clear KPIs and benchmarks
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for internal management and external communication
  • Ensure compliance with ESG frameworks and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in law, public administration, political science, economics, or communications
  • Many years of relevant professional experience in trade, technology, and/or R&D policy, ideally within government, think tanks, advocacy organizations, or industry associations
  • Extensive experience in program management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or community engagement
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing stakeholder and issue-management strategies
  • Experience in a multinational company or an international political environment
  • Experience working with senior government officials and political decision-makers
  • Strong diplomatic skills and persuasiveness in demanding situations
  • Experience interacting with executive leadership in an international context
