As the Manager, Strategy & Planning, you’ll act as the quarterback of our most strategic projects, turning complex challenges into actionable roadmaps, shaping growth priorities, and helping us deliver value where it matters most. You’ll partner directly with senior global leadership and cross-functional teams across Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to deliver bold yet grounded strategy. This role requires not just analysis, but ownership, influence, and execution. This is a rare opportunity to shape one of Uber’s most competitive and fast-evolving verticals. Job Responsibility:

  • Surface Strategic Insights: Conduct deep analysis of the competitive landscape, market trends, and internal performance data to influence strategic decisions and provide actionable insights
  • Activate Growth Initiatives: Drive strategic growth initiatives from 0-1, including growth and GTM strategy, business case development, and operational improvements
  • Own Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with Product, Ops, Finance, and Marketing to develop and implement initiatives that align with the overall strategy
  • Performance Tracking: Develop metrics and dashboards to track progress against goals, and lead regular performance reviews with leadership to ensure that the business is on track to achieve its objectives
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on the retail industry, sharing insights and recommendations with senior leaders across the organization

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in strategy, business planning, and/or management consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Nice to have:

  • Expertise in SQL
  • Experience in grocery, 3P platforms, consumer goods, or retail strategy
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy - comfortable leading building business cases and modeling tradeoffs/ROI
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving teams such as Product, Ops, Finance, and Marketing
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance tracking
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and simplify complexity
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong ownership mindset
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
