Marriott’s Privacy Office and the Law Department service the Company's lodging and hospitality business. The Global Privacy Manager is an essential member of the Global Privacy Office, responsible for supporting program governance and privacy escalations, and managing key priorities for Marriott’s global privacy program. This role requires a self-starter who can independently drive workstreams end to end—planning, coordinating stakeholders, tracking deliverables, and resolving issues —while escalating risks and decisions appropriately. The Global Privacy Manager will oversee program updates, training, communications, and metrics while promoting compliance with applicable privacy, data, and information protection laws. This position reports to the Managing Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Global Privacy, AI, Data Governance & Technology.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive preparation for monthly and quarterly privacy governance meetings and materials end-to-end
  • Proactively develop, update, and deliver privacy training and awareness communications across business functions
  • Independently manage the privacy mailbox, triage and resolve routine requests
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive metrics and monitoring program for the Global Privacy Office
  • Support the day-to-day workflow of the Global Privacy Office by actively project managing team priorities
  • Support privacy compliance initiatives as necessary, including individual rights requests, complaints and privacy incidents, and cross-border transfer mechanisms

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study from an accredited University
  • Minimum of 3+ years of legal, compliance and/or information security experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in consulting

  • Experience with ServiceNow and the One Trust Platform
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or other relevant professional certification such as Project Management (PMP)
